This is a good type of example. The beautiful music here was a bit too much compressed for my ears. The goal here was to bring each instrument to a more natural volum whilst cleaning some frequencies. This is a subtle difference but it does really well the job.

UNLIKELY FRIENDSHIP
I deeply felt in love with this track and how the final result enhances the music. Whilst respecting the natural sound of each of the instruments, I just open a bit more the stereo field and brought every frequency to its place giving each instruments its interesting component.

It also gives details on the choice of microphones.
What I like most about this book is its accessibility. The fact that it's a picture book makes it easy for me to reproduce mic placements, and since it's well detailed with accurate measurements, it's easy to get good shots.
